For most of my life, I didn’t know how to truly live. I was surrounded by negativity and I spend most of my time worrying, being afraid, being angry, being numb, not liking myself, and hating the world around me. I thought that the way to be happy was to keep myself guarded and to protect myself from the world and it’s cruelties. I spend most of my years not showing who I really was, and striving to get other people’s attention and acceptance to validate my worth.
Since I haven’t written anything personal in my blogs in a long time, I’ve dedicated this blog to the top 5 mistakes that I’ve made in my own life and what I have learned in the process that has created happiness and positivity around me. Maybe some of my mistakes and lessons will speak to you and help you to change your life for the better.
Don’t you sometimes wish that you could work without having to deal with people? Did you get up this morning, hit snooze on your alarm for the third time, and drag yourself to work? Are you really tired of having to deal with your coworkers or staff? Wouldn't work be so much better without the drama and conflict every day?
Are you having trouble with conflict at work?
Unfortunately, many of us get up in the morning and dread going to work. A common reason is that many of us have personal conflict in the workplace; whether with superiors, staff, or coworkers.
Personal conflict can be both a cause and a product of stress. Conflict can create a really stressful environment at work and is never a good thing. And allowing the conflict to build and intensify will only further impair your quality of life at work, and quite often, outside of work. This is why it’s so important that you know how to deal with conflict effectively.
Are negative thinkers just realists and do positive thinkers have their heads in the clouds?
If being "realistic" is the true reason some people choose to look at the world in a negative way, they’re being hypocrites! How? Because they’re not realists either by their own definition! But instead of having their heads in the cloud, they have dug theirs under the dirt! Not convinced yet? let me explain a little bit more.
